What will you be doing

We are looking for an enthusiastic, technically strong colleague with MBO level (post-secondary vocational education) or several years of experience in a similar function. Besides a good knowledge of English in word and writing you have some electrical installation knowledge.

You will have to be to able to communicate effectively in writing and keep up a decent administration. Listening and communicating to your customers (mostly crew on board) is an important part of the job, you should be able to explain about the installations and their operations which you have installed or maintained. Installing (external) dishwashing pumps and other (relatively simple) cleaning installations are the main part of the job.

You will be working on board of the largest seagoing vessels of the world in between mooring and their departure the same- or the next day. Sailing along to the next (European) port can occur when the job just needs to be done!

We are looking for an allrounder, someone who can work independently, responsibly and is not afraid to accept and tackle challenges. An electrical/engineering degree is not necessary, if you are technical minded and an eager learner who would love to work on board of a large seagoing vessels, meeting lots of different nationalities we invite you to apply as well.

What you need to know

  • - MBO level (post-secondary vocational education)
  • - Administrative skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • - Flexible, accurate, stress resistant, trustworthy and representative
  • - Drivers license B
  • - No 9 to 5 mentality
  • - English in word and writing
  • - Planning and time management skills
  • - Responsible
  • - Experience in the Marine industry is very welcome, but not necessary
  • - Experience in washing machine technics is not needed, but you will need a solid basic knowledge.
